Our office makes it a point to schedule appointments at the patient’s convenience. We understand that time is not always available, and so we appreciate how important time is to our patients and their families. Between school, sports practices, and work, it can be extremely difficult to arrange time for a dentist appointment- Oak Lawn Smiles tries to make it easier.
In a practice designed around family care, not all appointments can be made after school hours. However, children are typically more awake and have a better ability to relax during morning appointments. For this reason, children enrolled in school who require extensive dental work should be seen in the morning when possible. We realize this may inconvenience some parents, but our staff will always work with you to try to find a time that fits within your schedule.
We believe missing school for dental visits can be kept to a minimum when children get to see their dentist regularly. Dental appointments, like other medical appointments, are an excused absence with a note from our office.

Rescheduling
In the event that you need to reschedule your appointment at Oak Lawn Smiles, we ask that you please notify our office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. You will be charged a missed appointment fee for broken/missed appointments without sufficient notice. We do realize that unexpected events can come up and disrupt routines, but with proper notice, we can offer the missed appointment to another patient in need. We ask for your assistance in this regard.
